How to Watch MLS in 2026: Season Pass Is Gone — Every Match Is on Apple TV

How to Watch MLS in 2026: Season Pass Is Gone — Every Match Is on Apple TV

The short answer: every MLS match in 2026 — regular season, playoffs and Leagues Cup — is included with a standard Apple TV subscription at $12.99/month, with no regional blackouts. MLS Season Pass no longer exists: Apple discontinued it as a separate product after the 2025 season and folded all of MLS into its main service. Select marquee games also air on FOX and FS1.

If a guide tells you to buy "MLS Season Pass," it's out of date. Here's how it actually works now.

What changed in 2026

From 2023 to 2025, MLS lived behind MLS Season Pass — a separate $14.99/month subscription on top of Apple TV+. Starting with the 2026 season, Apple moved every MLS match into the standard Apple TV service (the streamer formerly called Apple TV+):

For fans it's a straight upgrade: slightly cheaper, same complete coverage, and the rest of Apple's catalog comes with it.

How to watch: step by step

  1. Subscribe to Apple TV — $12.99/month (or $99.99/year), with a 7-day free trial.
  2. Open the Apple TV app — on iPhone/iPad, Apple TV box, smart TVs (Samsung, LG, Sony, Vizio), Roku, Fire TV, PlayStation, Xbox, or tv.apple.com in a browser.
  3. Find your club's match — every game is live and on demand, in English and Spanish (select games in French).

No cable login, no regional restrictions — out-of-market games included, which is what made the Apple deal unique in US sports.

MLS on regular TV: FOX and FS1

A selection of marquee matches — including playoff games — airs on FOX and FS1, so some MLS is still watchable with a TV antenna or any live-TV bundle. But there's no cable path to the full season: Apple TV is the only complete option.

Can you watch MLS for free?

  • Apple TV's 7-day free trial — a full matchweek, every game.
  • FOX broadcast windows — free over the air with an antenna when matches land on FOX.
  • Apple's free-preview matchweeks — Apple has periodically unlocked selected games at no charge; watch for those around opening weekend and rivalry week.
