What changed in 2026
From 2023 to 2025, MLS in Canada meant buying MLS Season Pass — a separate subscription layered on top of Apple's streaming service. From the 2026 season, Apple moved the entire competition into the standard Apple TV subscription at no extra cost. Existing Season Pass subscribers were converted automatically.

Because there are no blackouts, a Whitecaps fan in Halifax and one in Vancouver get exactly the same access — which was not true under the old regional-rights model that MLS used before 2023.
Watching in French
RDS carries French-language coverage of selected matches, and Apple TV offers French commentary on its own broadcasts. For CF Montréal supporters that means a genuine choice of feeds rather than an English-only default.
Is there a free way to watch?
Apple occasionally makes selected matches free to watch without a subscription, and highlights go up on MLS's own YouTube channel after full time. Beyond that, a subscription is required — Apple holds global rights, so there is no Canadian workaround.
