Champions League 2026/27 Draw Simulator

Run the Swiss-model league-phase draw for the 2026/27 UEFA Champions League, see all eight opponents for every club, then predict the 36-team table — from the automatic round of 16 to the knockout play-offs.

League phase draw: Thursday 27 August 2026

Simulate the league-phase draw

Each of the 36 teams plays eight different opponents — two from each pot, one home and one away — and never faces a club from its own country (and at most two from any single country). Run the draw to generate a full, rules-valid set of fixtures.

Predict the final league table

Reorder all 36 teams into your predicted finishing positions. The top 8 go straight to the round of 16, positions 9–24 enter the knockout play-offs, and 25–36 are eliminated.

29 teams are confirmed; 7 play-off slots (and the official pots) are decided in late August 2026 — this simulator will be updated after the draw.

How the Champions League league phase works

Since 2024/25 the Champions League uses a single 36-team league instead of eight groups. Every club plays eight matches against eight different opponents drawn from four seeding pots, with results feeding one combined table.

The top eight teams qualify directly for the round of 16. Teams finishing 9th to 24th contest a two-legged knockout play-off for the remaining last-16 places, while the bottom 12 are eliminated from Europe entirely.

Champions League draw — FAQ

When is the 2026/27 Champions League draw?

The league-phase draw takes place on Thursday 27 August 2026, after the qualifying play-off round. The league phase itself begins in mid-September 2026.

How does the Swiss-model draw work?

All 36 teams sit in one league. Each team is drawn two opponents from each of the four pots — eight games in total, four at home and four away. No team can play a side from its own association, and can face at most two clubs from any single other country.

Are these the real 2026/27 teams?

29 clubs are already confirmed through their 2025/26 domestic finish. The remaining seven places go to the qualifying play-off winners, decided around 25–26 August 2026. The pots shown are unofficial estimates until UEFA confirms the seeding on draw day.

How many teams qualify for the round of 16?

The top eight in the 36-team table qualify automatically. Teams placed 9th to 24th enter a knockout play-off round, and the bottom 12 are eliminated.
